Every year, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announces the Top 10 most frequently cited workplace violations for the 2022 fiscal year, in this case from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.   This list should be used by printing operations as a guide to ensure their safety program is addressing the most common shortcomings that are being identified by OSHA.

The Maine DEP established a reporting requirement that applied to food packaging and packaging components of products that contain Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). However, the DEP has changed its position and is now stating that packaging for a product “is not required to be reported” under the state’s new PFAS notification and reporting requirement. The change in position by the DEP is welcomed and should provide some relief for many companies.
