PRINTING United Alliance is pleased to announce it has joined the Manufacturers for Sensible Regulations that is seeking achievable and balanced regulations that address environmental challenges. The coalition was launched by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), members of NAM’s Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA), and the Conference of State Manufacturers Associations to address the current impact of the regulatory onslaught coming from federal agencies that threaten the viability of manufacturing companies and the jobs they provide.

In response to the extreme heat wave experienced in the Pacific Northwest in early summer of 2021, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) took action to protect outdoor workers from exposure to high heat by establishing emergency temporary rules. L&I had an existing outdoor heat exposure rule and to enhance the rule, they updated their outdoor heat exposure requirements. The new requirements will take effect on July 17, 2023.

JULY 18, 2023, HANOVER PARK, ILL. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Communication Division, announces Miamisburg, Ohio-based Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS), as its supplier of digital cutting table solutions for the sign and display, packaging production, and manufacturing markets. Through this partnership, Fujifilm will distribute and sell all Kongsberg PCS digital cutting systems across the United States and Canada.
