  • Printing Occupational Injury/Illness Continue Downward Trend

    Workplace injuries and illnesses in printing operations are declining. The latest statistics available from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show that the total number of workplace injuries and illnesses are down 1,000 reported incidents from 2020 to 2021. Much of the reduction was due to a drop in respiratory illness cases because of the decline in COVID-19 infections.

  • PFAS Dominating Federal and State Environmental Actions

    The pressure is being turned up on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at both the state and federal level with legislation and regulation. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed several regulations aimed at reducing exposure to PFAS, and several states have recently enacted restrictions on the use of potentially harmful PFAS in everyday products.
