EU Deforestation Rules on Wood, Leather and Other Everyday Goods Applies to U.S. Companies

A new deforestation regulation, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products, has been finalized by the European Union (EU) that will impact US based companies doing business in the EU. The regulation became final on June 29, 2023, and is called the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). There will be a phased in approach with the main requirements and prohibitions effective on December 30, 2024. -
