On October 27, 2023, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rule Making to amend the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, better known as Prop-65. Prop-65 requires businesses to provide a “clear and reasonable” warning on products that contain chemicals exceeding an established safe harbor level and have been deemed to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity by the state.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Government Publishing Office’s (GPO) Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern on January 24, 2024 testified before the United States Senate Committee on Rules and Administration about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at the Agency.
