On November 15, 2024, Nevada became the sixth state to adopt a regulation aimed at protecting workers from heat-related illnesses. This comes after a record-breaking summer that saw Las Vegas reach 120°F and a steady increase of heat-related illness complaints across the state in recent years. During calendar year 2021 there were 344 complaints which climbed to 467 complaints filed through September 2024.

With a distinguished career spanning three decades in operational planning, event management, and strategic growth, Derrick brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of delivering exceptional trade show and event experiences to the Alliance team.

PRINTING United Alliance's Government Affairs team had a productive year, advocating on several fronts to protect and advance the interests of the printing industry in the U.S. The printing industry’s role as a major economic driver was emphasized in advocacy campaigns. Contributing over $100 billion annually and employing 380,000 workers, the industry’s ties to the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector further underscore its importance, with the latter adding $2.5 trillion to GDP and over 22 million jobs. Advocacy has emphasized these contributions to secure supportive policies from Congress and the administration.

Roland DGA’s DG DIMENSE technology was honored with an NKBA Manhattan Inspire Award for “Best Wallcoverings/Wall Treatment” at Boutique Design New York (BDNY) 2024, the leading trade fair and conference for boutique hotel design, which took place November 10-11 in New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
