Responsible for setting up and operating an automatic flatbed screen printing press according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. Capable of solving printing problems, making adjustments to mechanical operation of press to keep quality, registration, color, and production speed at optimum. Has good understanding of inks, solvents, and can print line, halftone, and four-color copy on a variety of substrates by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.

Directs, plans, assigns, and monitors the activities of the Finishing Department, which consist of the flow of all finished materials; packing operations; sheet, individual piece, or roll inspection; overall quality control; and returned goods. Finishing operation may include any combination of the following: die cutting, hot stamping, laminating, weeding, packaging, folding, scoring, cutting, slitting, numbering, or any other process required to finish the printed piece before delivery to the customer by performing the following duties personally or through assist personnel.

Responsible for maintaining a continuous film file of negatives and/or positives by customer or job number and checking films for accuracy, completeness, and quality before sending them to production.

Responsible for inspecting finished or unfinished cloth for defects, using power-driven examining frame.
