Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow's Workforce Act Surpasses 100 Cosponsors

As a proud member of Tomorrow’s Workforce Coalition, PRINTING United Alliance is pleased to announce that the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act (H.R. 1477) surpassed 100 bipartisan cosponsors. The Act would expand qualified expenses under 529 savings plans to include postsecondary training and credentialing, such as licenses and professional certifications. -

What is a "Dear Colleague" letter, and why should you care? Named for their opening salutation, "Dear Colleague" letters are official correspondence widely distributed to congressional offices. Members, committees, and officers of the House of Representatives often use 'Dear Colleague' letters to encourage their colleagues to support, cosponsor, or to oppose a bill or an issue. They can also be used to invite members to join a Congressional Member Organization (CMO or caucus). -
Keep US Posted Sets Agenda For 2024

The Keep US Posted coalition, of which PRINTING United Alliance is a member, set its agenda for 2024 during its last meeting of 2023. There was significant frustration with the United States Postal Service (USPS) over the rate increase that will take effect on January 21, 2024. The new rates include a 2-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, from 66 cents to 68 cents. The dissatisfaction with the USPS comes on the heels of an attempt to prevent rate increases. -
California’s New Law is Cracking Down on Carbon Neutral Green Claims

On October 7, 2023, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB-1305, the Voluntary Carbon Market Disclosure Act (VCMDA), into law. The act is intended to address potential greenwashing from the use of carbon offsets by companies with carbon-neutral, net-zero, and emission reduction claims. This comes on the same day that Governor Newsom also signed into law two core bills of the states Climate Accountability Package.
