State Lawmakers Continue Push to Regulate PFAS in Consumer Products

Laws restricting or banning per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS, will take effect in more than a half dozen states in 2023. Consumer products that are currently the subject of state PFAS laws include apparel and textiles, food packaging, carpets and rugs, fabric treatments, children’s products, cookware, cosmetics, furniture, and ski wax, but this is a continually evolving list. -
