Copenhagen, January 30, 2024 - Bjørn Thorsen A/S is proud to take part in a new project aiming to develop solutions for easier replacement of transfer prints on clothing. Supported by the Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program (MUDP) of the Danish Environmental Ministry, the project "Reuse is Good Use" (in Danish: ”Genbrug er god brug”) is a collaboration between the Danish Technological Institute (project leader and knowledge partner), NS System A/S (transfer print supplier), Bjørn Thorsen A/S (raw material supplier), and Fabricaid ApS (advisor in the circular textile value chain). It aims to develop methods for removing existing transfer prints from certain types of textiles and create a new type of removable transfer print that is easier to replace in the future.

The system will join SCREEN GA’s lineup for the commercial printing, direct mail and publishing printing markets. The Alliance was pleased to learn that the Death Tax Repeal Act, H.R. 7035, has been reintroduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA-04). The bill would fully repeal the federal estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes. H.R. 7035, which has gained more than 160 cosponsors, was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee for consideration.

On January 31, 2024, the House voted 357 to 70 to approve H.R. 7024, the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024, a bipartisan tax framework crafted by House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R-MO) and Senate Finance Chair Ron Wyden (D-OR). H.R. 7024 has enjoyed widespread support and was earlier approved 40 to 3 by the Ways and Means Committee.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Government Publishing Office’s (GPO) GovInfo, the one-stop site for authentic, published information for all three branches of the Federal Government, has earned a CoreTrustSeal certification for the first time. This certification provides data producers assurance that their materials are stored in a reliable manner and to the public that digital materials are authentic and trustworthy. By participating in the CoreTrustSeal process, GPO team members will serve as reviewers for other organizations trying to achieve CoreTrustSeal certifications.
