After many years of effort by SGIA and the Great Lakes Graphics Association, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources completed its rulemaking to streamline the air pollution control regulations that printers with a lithographic printing press need to meet. The rule revisions become effective July 1.

The printing industry-wide task force organized by SGIA completed its work on developing and submitting consensus comments to OSHA on its latest proposed updates to The Control of Hazardous Energy or Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) Standard. A meeting with OSHA to discuss these comments has been set up for early November.
