The Membership Specialist will help serve as a primary touch point for all membership types. The Membership Specialist will also share front desk responsibilities (including, but not limited to, live chat support on the website, checking the main voicemail inbox, and monitoring membership mailboxes) with the other Membership personnel on staff.
Responsibilities:
• Cultivate and maintain an extensive knowledge of all Alliance programs, services, initiatives, and activities
• Cultivate relationships with members that will support the growth of overall membership and the retention of current members
• Helps to conduct bi-monthly New Member Online Meetups
• Creates and executes outgoing retention call campaigns; effectively communicates with current members on a regular basis to ensure a high rate of renewal returns; to include making 6-month and lapsed member renewal calls
• Monitors and responds to the Alliance Assist and/or Membership Mailbox; coordinating assistance with appropriate Subject Matter Experts, as needed
• Works with Alliance Subject Matter Experts to have a deep understanding of programs and services available to members
• Manages Member Interest Form; responsible for all outreach communications when forms are received
• Manages membership data and reporting in a custom Salesforce AMS system
• Works with the Membership Team to identify onboarding solutions for new members
• Travel to Expo to work and support membership booth/lounge
• Answer telephone calls as needed
Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• Knowledge of the printing industry, or previous experience with a printing company is a plus.
