The following is a Q&A with Tessa du Plooy, head of marketing at Printess, headquartered in Teupitz, Brandenburg.

What sets Printess apart in the web-to-print space?

What sets Printess apart is our focus on scalability, reliability, and accuracy. No matter how many jobs you run, every one renders perfect print quality, minimizing errors and avoiding costly customer complaints. We also believe you should try before you buy. With no upfront fees and fair, transparent pricing, you can test our solution risk-free and see real results before committing.

Our growth is driven by customer satisfaction, not sales pitches. Happy customers are our best advocates, and we’ve built our reputation on delivering a product that simply works.

AI is playing a growing role in the print industry—can you share how Printess is incorporating AI tools into its product offerings?

Besides Printess MAKE, we have incorporated a number of AI functionalities including Face Swap, Image Upscaling, Background Removal, Text assistant (for greetings cards, or text heavy products), Image generation and more.

Can you elaborate on your latest text-to-design tool—Printess-MAKE? What inspired its development, and how does it work from a user perspective?

Printess MAKE at its core is a simple promise: beautiful, fully editable designs generated in under 60 seconds by answering just three quick questions. No design skills needed. The user simply chooses their product (brochures, posters, banners and other marketing collateral), answers the questions, and Printess MAKE gets to work. The questions are: “Business Name,” "Unique Proposition or offering,” and “What language.”

Printess MAKE uses these inputs to generate multiple curated layouts that are print-ready, complete with relevant images and copy, instantly tailored to their answers. The user still has complete freedom over the designs, so they can change anything within a design without limitation. It’s personalization that feels effortless.

What are some future goals for Printess? Are there any upcoming products or features you’re excited to share?

There are so many exciting things happening in Printess-world, it’s hard to choose, but we would have to say our most exciting features recently are:

Printess Magic Photobook—an AI-driven product interface that makes photobook creation effortless. It automatically selects the best images using intelligent scoring, groups them into meaningful time clusters, and arranges them using some key Printess tools, like Layout Snippets and Splitter Grids to produce stunning results. Users will have a beautifully structured photobook that follows a clear story timeline (or multiple micro-stories) that are ready to order in minutes. Customers can edit if they choose, but the magic lies in how little they have to.

We are also super excited about our new Panel UI, which was built to give your users the best possible experience while giving you complete control. Panel UI makes it easy to build responsive, product-specific interfaces all without a single line of code. The most important feature of the Panel UI is its ability to generate itself automatically and adapt individually to each template. It’s tailored specifically for every single template, both for desktop and separately for mobile. This was specifically designed so that our customers don't have to worry about this at all.

We are always talking with our customers about what new pain points they have and what features are on their “wish lists” to see if we can wave our wands to make it happen!
