PRINTING United Alliance is pleased to announce it has joined the Manufacturers for Sensible Regulations that is seeking achievable and balanced regulations that address environmental challenges. In response to the extreme heat wave experienced in the Pacific Northwest in early summer of 2021, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) took action to protect outdoor workers from exposure to high heat by establishing emergency temporary rules. L&I had an existing outdoor heat exposure rule and to enhance the rule, they updated their outdoor heat exposure requirements. The new requirements will take effect on July 17, 2023.
