How the Certification Process Works
G7 Master Facility Certification follows a structured verification process:
- Work with a Certified G7/G7+™ Expert
- Calibrate production devices to G7 targets
- Produce verification prints
- Submit print samples and measurement data
- Independent third-party laboratory evaluation
- Certification granted upon successful verification
Certification applies to the facility and the devices submitted for evaluation.
Many facilities work with a Certified G7/G7+ Expert who helps guide calibration and verification.
Compliance Levels
G7 Master Certification may be achieved at different levels depending on the device being evaluated. Each level reflects increasing scope and color matching capability.
Maintaining Certification
G7 Master Facility Certification is valid for one year and requires renewal to maintain active certification status.
Facilities maintaining active certification and PRINTING United Alliance membership remain listed in the PRINTING United Alliance directory and retain certification badge usage.

Application Fee – $800 (per facility)
Grayscale or Targeted Compliance – $100*
Colorspace Compliance – $150*

Renewal G7 Master Submission
Application Fee – $550 (per facility)
Grayscale or Targeted Compliance – $100*
Colorspace Compliance – $150*

- Each facility certification requires a new application or renewal application and a minimum of one (1) device compliance.
- Certification and Compliance Levels (Grayscale/Targeted/Colorspace) will be noted in the database listing.
- Additional Certification Types, Failed, or Resubmitted sheets are charged per Certification Type, Grayscale/Targeted ($100) or Colorspace ($150).
- Custom targets are charged per target or reference submitted ($50 each).
- Good for one year. Requires annual renewal by a Certified G7 Expert or G7+ Expert within 90 days of Certification expiration.
- G7 Expert consulting fees may be additional, negotiated with, and paid to the G7 Expert. See your G7 Expert.
