Integrated Learning Center
Integrated Learning Center
Online education has never been hotter than it is today; in fact it’s on a near meteoric rise. Did you know that 77% of corporations use eLearning to help train their employees? Or that while half of today’s college students take at least one online course by 2019 half of all college courses will be eLearning based? Last year eLearning was a $56.2 billion business and it’s expected to double in just two years. Clearly online education is becoming the way to instruct both students and working professionals.
That’s why Printing Industries of America is building an online training center for our members that that we’re calling the Integrated Learning Center (or iLearning Center for short.) The Integrated Learning Center provides online workshops on topics that matter most to graphic communication businesses, starting with environmental and safety courses to help printing firms comply with OSHA and industry standards and ensure safe workplaces. We’re kicking off the series with a “train the trainer” course on hazardous material communications (HazCom in EHS parlance) that will be available March 1, 2014.
But EHS courses are only one part of the Integrated Learning Center curricula. Printing Industries’ popular “Orientation to the Graphic Arts” workshop is moving to the iLearning Center, providing a complete introduction to the industry for new hires. Technical courses on color management and industry standards, integrated marketing management, personalization and direct marketing are just a few of the full complement of industry-specific topics that will roll out throughout the year.
Recent studies show that 23% of employees leave their jobs because the position lacks the opportunity for training and development. It’s important to invest in your employees and Printing Industries is making it easy with these reasonably priced, self-paced online workshops with special discounted rates for Printing Industries of America members.
