Summary:

The GATF Small Spot Glossmeter is a Photovolt 75 degree search unit modified to measure an area of 1/4 by 3/16 of an inch. This is small enough to measure the gloss of most printed color bars or color control patches. Measurements with the GATF Small Spot Glossmeter are not identical to those made with the standard Photovolt Glossmeter but were found to be consistent and could be repeated with reasonable accuracy. A calibration curve has been drawn for conversion to the standard Photovolt measurements.
