Return Policy

For Retail Booksellers

  • Retail booksellers may return unsold books in new, unused condition with no detectable wear within thirty (30) days of purchase date.  All returns will receive store credit only for accepted returns. We will not issue monetary refunds to retail booksellers. Liability for damage that occurs during packing and shipping of returns back to PIA rests with the retail bookseller, so please pack your returns with care.  Credit will not be issued for damaged books that cannot be returned to inventory. Please track the shipping of returned packages.
  • If returns are accepted, credit memos will be valid for one year from date of issue.
  • Restocking Fee: Returns of more than 3 items will be charged a restocking fee equal to 10% of the returned product value.
  • All returns must include the original invoice, packing list, or order number.  Returns that do not include an invoice reference number will not be accepted. All returns must detail the reason for the return.
  • If a bookseller received a product from the PIA Bookstore in damaged condition, the bookseller must notify PIA Bookstore within three (3) business days of receipt of the product shipment.  All notifications are to be made by telephone to the PIA Bookstore customer service at 800-910-4283, x 770 or by email at membercentral [at] printing.org.

For Individual Buyers

  • Unless otherwise noted in the item description, the Printing Industries of America Bookstore will accept return of hard or soft cover books in new, unused condition with no detectable wear, for a full refund or store credit within thirty (30) days of the purchase date. Please track the shipping of return shipments.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Certain products are not returnable and will not qualify for refunds or store credit.  These products include any digital or downloadable product, including but not limited to PDFs, ebooks, webinars, videos, DVDs, quality and process control products, compensation surveys, incentive plan reports, and sample manuals. If you received your product(s) from us in a damaged condition, please notify us within three (3) business days of receipt of the product(s) at membercentral [at] printing.org.

  • For purchases made with a credit card, refunds will appear as a credit to the original account. Please allow two billing cycles for credit to appear on your account statement. For purchases made with a check, refunds will be issued in a check payable to the purchasing individual.
