This report is based on data provided by 114 producers of wide-format printing who participated in the midyear 2023 PRINTING United Alliance State of the Industry Survey. Companies surveyed have annual sales (all sources) ranging from less than $500,000 to more than $100 million and offer more than 20 wide-format products, including banners, soft signage, and flags, building graphics, vehicle wraps, and digital displays.
Topics include how sales, prices, profitability, and other key performance metrics trended through mid-2023, expectations for the full year, what most concerns providers of wide-format printing, wide-format products expected to grow fastest through 2025, lessons learned from the market upheaval of the last three years, and artificial intelligence: who’s using it, how, and why it’s too important to back-burner.
