Colorimetry in Graphic Arts is faced with a number of uncertainties. Many of these, such as prediction of appearance under varying viewing conditions and measurement precision, have been (partially) resolved by standards defined by CIE and ISO. However, other uncertainties still remain and two of them are addressed in this paper:
