A Special VFG-GLV Test Target for PostScript Output Devices

Details:

Year: 1991
Pages: 12

Summary:

Different test patterns for use with PostScript output devices like laser printers and laser film exposing units are described. Such test patterns are used for calibration, resolution, spot size, control of exposing light beam, density uniformity, and different screen angle stability. Initially, a large test form to determine the geometric accuracy of such PostScript devices was developed. The test form was also used to carry out quality tests on the different PostScript output devices available after DRUPA 90. Initially, a large test form to determine the geometric accuracy of such PostScript devices was developed. The test form was also used to carry out quality tests on the different PostScript output devices available after DRUPA 90. Results of these first tests are discussed and the use ability of the test patterns explained. Using the information from this investigation a X digital test target was designed. Such a target can easily be used for small office desktop output devices.
