Year: 1989
Pages: 11

Summary:

This panel discussion will present a variety of views on the issue of developing interconnectivity between office systems and systems used within the graphic arts industry. The interconnection problem by itself is a technical issue and there are many possible (and often unique and/or conflicting) solutions. The more pressing issue for many users is the operational and organizational considerations as well as the practical implementation in specific applications. The panelists represent a developer of desktop equipment; a consultant involved in both desktop and traditional graphic arts; a graphic arts prepress organization actively using a combination of desktop and traditional techniques in the preparation of periodicals.
