Summary:

The use of highly productive electronic color scanners has created a bottleneck in the stripping area. Computerized page composition systems like the Crosfield Studio 800 allow printers to produce fully-imposed pages quickly and accurately; however, this as created another bottleneck in the area of production control and product flow. Crosfield has developed a Networking and Management Information System to link input and output devices to the image processing system, and to interface and coordinate management information data for more efficient use of these systems.
