The Converted Gravure (Halftone Gravure Conversion)

The utilization of Hell Helio Klischographs in the offset gravure conversion process, and how the idea originated, are discussed. The development of the system with the HK202, technological improvements in optical reading heads, modifications to the electronic parts, and evolution of matte films for reading on Helio Klischographs are examined. Economic and practical advantages offered by these systems are described.
