System Structures in Colour Reproduction.

The structure of colour separation systems is examined in relation to accepted principles of colour reproduction. A general procedure is proposed to provide improvements for commonly used photographic methods of colour separation. The reproduction of coloured originals by electronic scanning methods is examined from the same standpoint. Desirable improvements in scanner system structures are discussed.
