Summary:

This report presents results of a survey of 77 companies that print packaging, labels, or both as their primary business. A review of 2025 includes trends in sales, prices, and profitability, the effects of tariffs, and how package and label printers responded to those effects. A look ahead includes 2026 business priorities, technology adoption plans, sales expectations for nine major end markets, the projected share of package and label printing produced digitally, and the industry’s next big disruptor.

Companies surveyed have annual sales ranging from less than $1 million to more than $300 million and serve markets ranging from food to cosmetics to cannabis. Package printing includes folding cartons, flexible, corrugated, and direct-to-form plastic containers.
