Summary:
A review of major issues affecting the printing industry, including the AI/Big Data Revolution, the analog-digital transition, the industry’s next big disruptor, current and expected business conditions, what concerns printers most and how they are addressing those concerns, and the importance of sustainability plans with defined metrics. Building competitive advantage by overcoming resistance to change, getting employees to think like owners, embracing getting-things-done methodology, and strengthening risk management is also covered.
Nearly 200 members of the PRINTING United Alliance State of the Industry Panel contributed to this report. Contributors include commercial printers, graphic and sign (wide-format) printers, apparel decorators, and package printers/converters, have annual sales ranging from less than $500,000 to more than $200 million, and are located across the United States and Canada.
