Summary:

A new peel-apart photographic system based upon a photodelamination principle has been developed. The system consists of two supports which sandwich a photosensitive layer, an image layer and an adhesive layer. Exposing the assembly to actinic light causes delamination of the image layer from one support through decomposition of the photosensitive material. Subsequent separation of the supports leaves the delaminated portion of the image layer attached to one support and the unexposed, undelaminated portion to the other.
