PIA Opens Nominations for Education and Kagy Awards of Excellence

Pittsburgh, PA--Printing Industries of America is seeking nominations for the Education Award of Excellence and Frederick D. Kagy Education Award of Excellence.

The Education Award of Excellence honors educators and industry trainers who have gone above and beyond to further printed communications and enhance the future of our industry. Education Award recipients join 30 years of notable printing educators and trainers, such as Larry Kroll, Thomas Schildgen, John Leininger, and Susan Kinney. Nominees should be widely recognized as industry leaders who have contributed to special education or training programs, created a significant educational project, or displayed special leadership at the local, state, or national level. The Frederick D. Kagy Education Award of Excellence recognizes an exemplary middle school, high school, or community college graphic communications program. Successful nominees maintain a close partnership with the graphic communications industry, build activities to meet the needs of the industry, and create innovative techniques for printing programs. Kagy Award recipients join 18 years of notable academic programs such as those at Waukesha County Technical College, Brighton High School, and Frederick County Career and Technology Center.
