In the 1984 book “The Goal,” Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt outlined the theory of constraints (TOC), a management methodology that helps to identify and remove limiting factors. The TOC process involves identifying the constraint, improving the constraint, subordinating everything else, elevating the constraint, and repeating the process.
