For Immediate Release February 13, 2018 Contact: Kate Achelpohl, SGIA 703.359.1364 kate@sgia.org Fairfax Virginia – The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has recognized 55 member companies for their safety efforts throughout 2017 as part of the association’s annual Safety Recognition Program. Companies receiving the award completed a number of actions that helped improve safety conditions in their workplaces, including attending safety webinars, creating safety committees, conducting bi-monthly safety checks and more. The number of participating companies showed a 10% increase from those that were recognized for their efforts in 2016 — a trend SGIA hopes will continue. “Safe working conditions benefit everyone at the workplace by reducing employees’ chances of injury and illness and reducing costs for employers,” said Allison Lundy, Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, Government & Business Information, SGIA. “Our Safety Recognition Program helps members achieve a safer workplace through resources and guidance. We hope the increased participation levels in 2017 will also translate to this year, as we’ve seen how the program really helps our members achieve their safety goals and go above and beyond safety compliance.” Congratulations to the 2017 Safety Recognition Award Recipients: Acchroma, a VGU Industries Company Achilles USA Inc Acrylic Designs Inc Ad Graphics Inc Albert Basse Associates Inc Ampco Manufacturers Inc Art Advertising Inc Auto Trim Design Inc Avery Dennison Beacon Promotions, a Hub Pen Company CanvasPop LLC Carlton Industries LP Central Decal Campany Inc Classic Stripes Pvt Limited Designtex Surface Imaging Douglass Screen Printers Inc Empire Screen Printing Express Image Federal Heath Ferrari Color-Sacramento Ferrari Color-SLC Fisher Textiles General Label Inc GFX International Gillespie Graphics Global Products Inc Graphic Ad Ltd Heritage Screen Printing Inc Holland & Crosby Limited Horizons Imaging Systems Group Image Options Lawson Screen & Digital Products L E M Products Inc Magnum Magnetics Corp Meisel, Division of RR Donnelly Modagrafics Inc Mountain Commercial Graphics Nortech Graphics Nutron Nameplate Inc Ohiopyle Prints Inc Owosso Graphic Arts Inc Prime Source Inc Pro Prints Gear PSP & Digital Inc Sign-Age of Tampa Bay Inc Signcraft Screenprint Inc Stahls' Transfer Express T-Formation of Tallahassee Tapecon Inc TASUS Top Promotions Inc Versa-Tags Inc Voss Signs LLC Wachiay Studio Yunker Industries Inc.
