G7+™ System Certification
The G7+ System Certification program evaluates the ability of a software system to calibrate a printing device to drive print production with the G7+ specification and conform to G7+ print conditions.
G7+ calibration is critical for near-neutral print alignment required by global print buyers and brands and leading print service providers across global print production. Certified systems align to the new G7+ near-neutral specification of gray balance and tonality for any four-color print workflow. Technology providers submit for G7+ System Certification for their software by generating 4 color (CMYK) curves according to the G7 specification. This data is analyzed by our third-party evaluation laboratory to ensure proper alignment and calibration according to the G7+ specification. Systems that pass all tests are awarded certification, the supplier system details are published, and the supplier can display the certification logo on their product collateral. Potential customers will recognize the certification logo and have confidence when considering the purchase of a certified system.
