Our members, partners, and readers trust us to provide accurate, authoritative, and ethical content and we are committed to preserving that trust while embracing innovation. This statement is a living document that will evolve as AI technologies and regulations develop, ensuring our practices remain aligned with ethical and professional standards. We value human creativity, professional expertise, and integrity in everything we produce, and will always place those values at the center of our work.
Writing and Editing
Our editorial content is edited and approved by humans. While staff may use AI tools in the brainstorming or research stage to generate ideas, provide background context, or suggest phrasing, humans always verify facts, evaluate context, and make final decisions. We may also use AI to enhance user experiences (e.g., creating summaries or SEO suggestions), but any such output is reviewed by humans and, when appropriate, labeled as AI-assisted.
Video and Audio
Our original audio and video content is written and approved by humans. AI tools may assist in background tasks such as editing, transcription, or idea development, but humans oversee the creative process and final product.
Images and Design
We prioritize human-created visuals and support the creative community by commissioning and hiring artists, designers, and photographers. We may use AI tools to edit and enhance images. While AI-generated imagery may occasionally be used for inspiration, internal brainstorming or in stories directly covering AI itself, such images will be labeled when published. Press images provided by third parties may sometimes include AI-modified elements, but we will make reasonable efforts to verify and disclose this where possible.
