Job Summary

Responsible for the overall direction, coordinating, and evaluation of marketing personnel. Plans, directs, and coordinates the marketing strategy of a screen printing and/or graphic imaging company's products and/or services by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Prepares departmental budget and monitors expenditure of budgeted funds.
  • Plans and oversees company advertising and promotion activities.
  • Develops and recommends pricing strategy, which will result in the greatest share of the market.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives are within designated budgets and profit/loss ratios.
  • Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
  • Prepares marketing activity reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing from four-year college or university; or three to five years in screen printing and/or digital imaging marketing experience and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education training, and experience. Strong skills in work planning and scheduling.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, clients, customers, and employees.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to printing jobs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
