Display (POP/POS) Designer

Job Summary

Plan and design three-dimensional POP/POS displays including development of field assembly instructions and diagrams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive job assignment and product specifications.
  • Designs display and provides copy for customer approval.
  • Select stock, ink colors, and assembly hardware.
  • Directs construction of prototype display, and submits for customer approval.
  • Develops detailed instructions and diagrams for field assembly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience

Three years of study in prototype design and development; or three to five years of screen printing and/or digital imaging display experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; must have good judgment of color, design, and printing quality.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts, and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions of practical situations to printing jobs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
