Job Summary

Plans, directs, oversees, and coordinates the financial operations and activities of a screen printing and graphic imaging company to obtain efficiency and economy of financial operations. Establishes financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Guides financial decisions, protects assets, monitors, confirms, and maximizes financial conditions, and prepares financial budgets. Arranges audits and advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property loses and potential liabilities by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget. Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items.
  • Completes necessary tax forms, remits appropriate taxes, advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions, files all reports required by law, and arranges for audit of company's accounts.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and as required.
  • Maintains and directs entry in all financial books and ledgers. Authorize payment of accounts payable.
  • Ensures correctness of financial computations, analyses, and statements.
  • Invests funds as directed and maintains necessary records.
  • Attends various trade meetings and seminars to keep abreast of financial and operational management trends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting; five to ten years financial operations experience in screen printing and/or digital imaging plant operations; CPA designation desirable; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to a variety of audiences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply the principles of advanced mathematics and statistical theory. Ability to work with complex mathematical and statistical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
