A global specification, delivered where the work happens.
When we say G7+™ is a global specification, we mean it literally. The methodology is implemented in pressrooms across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, North America, and Europe — and this October, we're bringing two of our flagship training experiences directly to AGFA's facility in Mortsel, Belgium.
The headline event is the G7+™ Expert Certification, October 28–30, 2026. Over three full days, attendees work through the technical foundations of G7+™ — tonality, gray balance, high-density smoothing, and process control — before moving into the practical work of calibrating, verifying, and applying the methodology across print and proofing applications. The course closes with the web-based G7+™ Expert Examination, and certified participants leave Mortsel as part of a worldwide community of G7+™ Experts.
What's included with G7+™ Expert Certification:
- Three days of hands-on instruction at AGFA's Mortsel, Belgium facility
- The web-based G7+™ Expert Examination
- A library of downloadable production resources, including G7+ test forms for implementing the methodology in your own facility
- Continued access to the PRINTING United Alliance online training library and on-demand recordings
- Complimentary access to Color Management Professional® Fundamentals on iLEARNING+ for early registrants, delivered before the live training, so you arrive prepared
Investment: $2,149 for Alliance members, $2,719 for non-members. Membership pays for itself before you board the flight.
Leading both events is Ron Ellis, one of the most experienced G7+™ trainers working today. Ron consults with brands across Europe and brings that real-world perspective directly into the classroom. That matters, because G7+™ isn't a theoretical exercise — it's the technical language printers and brand owners use to talk to each other about color, consistency, and what “on-brand” actually means on a physical substrate.
For packaging professionals, the two days immediately beforehand are just as valuable. From Design to Substrate: Unlocking Design Intent in Packaging runs October 26–27 at the same AGFA location. It tackles the question that frustrates every packaging supply chain: why doesn't the final printed piece match the designer's intent? Ron walks attendees through the full design-to-print journey — Adobe color settings, spot color selection, file preparation, prepress workflows, press calibration, and print quality evaluation. Designers, prepress operators, brand managers, and print buyers all see the same workflow from their respective angles and leave with a shared vocabulary to close the gap between intent and outcome.
Investment for the packaging workshop: $799 for Alliance members, $999 for non-members.
The choice of Belgium isn't by chance. Europe has a deep, sophisticated print and packaging market, and the demand we're seeing from European printers, brand owners, and supply chain partners reflects something we hear in every region we operate in: G7+™ works because it's the same methodology everywhere. A printer in Mortsel calibrating to G7+™ is speaking the same technical language as a printer in Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, or Mexico City. That's the value of a true international specification — and it's why bringing the certification training to Europe, in partnership with AGFA, made sense for this event.
Seats are limited for both events, and registration is open now. Whether you're coming for the packaging workshop, the G7+™ Expert Certification, or both, you'll leave Mortsel with practical skills, technical credentials, and a stronger connection to the global G7+™ community.
