Member Spotlight: Champro

PRINTING United Alliance is grateful to serve its members who make such significant impacts on the printing industry. Through our Member Spotlights, we continue to recognize our members, and help our community get to know their peers better, both professionally and personally. The following is a Q&A and video interview with Jim Dusbiber, vice president of New Business Development at Champro.

Please provide a brief history of Champro and its core mission.

Champro was established in 1986 by Bill Hunt. We have roughly 250 U.S.-based employees and another 2,500 at our facilities in the Dominican Republic that are manufacturing custom apparel, decorating caps and much more. We offer stock and a variety of custom team uniforms and sportswear, headwear and sports equipment for baseball, softball, track, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse and hockey.

Are there markets or industries outside of your traditional offerings you are looking to add (or have added)? If so, can you please elaborate?

We plan to continue expanding our decoration capabilities while building on the momentum we’ve developed over the past five years. In particular, we’re focused on accelerating our growth in the sportswear and headwear markets, where we’ve already seen strong success.

What’s one project or accomplishment that Champro is especially proud of, and what makes it stand out?

I would say one recent accomplishment was breaking into the PPAI top 100 Supplier list in 2025 and debuting at number 67. Entering into a new distribution channel always brings many challenges, but working patiently, listening and adapting to customers needs has allowed us to serve promotional products distributors with success.

What are some future goals for Champro? Are there any upcoming features or developments that your clients can look forward to?

At Champro we are focused on offering new decoration options (etc. embroidery on apparel launch in September, and we will launch Tackle Twill in May) so we can be a supplier you a count on for easy and fast fully decorated apparel. We will also look to continue to enhance the customer experience with simplicity and even more personalized level of service.

What motivated Champro to become a member of PRINTING United Alliance, and what resources do you plan to or have already utilized through your membership?

The Alliance's research and iLEARNING+ platform will help us make more educated decisions, and the learning platforms also help our team operate at a high level. We also believe a number of your distributor members aren’t currently working with us, but would like to once we are able to introduce the brand and our capabilities.

As a first-time exhibitor at PRINTING United Expo 2026, what are you most looking forward to?

I look forward to learning more about the organization and the printing industry at large. We also look forward to connecting to your distributor members that may not be working with us yet.
