This project reinforces MBO America’s growing presence beyond the United States and demonstrates the company’s ability to support customers wherever their production demands take them.

A Smooth Installation From Start to Finish
For this installation, Bruño invested in an MBO T-50 (20”) 4-4-4 Continuous Feeder Folder, selected to support efficient, high-volume finishing. The installation was handled on-site by Jim Begley, who oversaw the setup from arrival through to production readiness.
“The machine arrived crated, and the customer allowed me to operate their forklift to remove the crates and unload the equipment myself, which I prefer,” Jim shared. “Once the folder was wired and powered up, it performed exactly as an MBO folder should. There were no issues.”
Bruño’s facility stood out immediately. Unlike many print operations, the production floor was large, open, and spacious, making it an ideal environment for installation and setup. The layout allowed easy access, smooth material handling, and efficient movement throughout the space.
Supporting Global Print Operations
Traveling to Lima added a unique dimension to the project. While the installation itself went smoothly, simply navigating the city required adjustment. “The drive to the customer site was quite an experience,” Jim noted. “The rules of the road are very different from what I’m used to in the U.S., so I relied on taxis to get around.”
This international installation highlights MBO America’s ability to support customers globally, combining technical expertise with flexibility and hands-on service, even thousands of miles from home.
A Personal Connection to Peru
This trip also carried personal meaning. Jim traveled with his wife, who is Peruvian. While he focused on completing the installation during the week, she spent time reconnecting with family throughout Lima. On the weekends, they explored the country together.
After the project was completed, the couple traveled to Cusco, where Jim fulfilled a long-standing interest in visiting Peru’s ancient megalithic sites. Highlights included Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuamán, and Ollantaytambo.
“I mainly wanted to see the ancient polygonal stonework built thousands of years ago,” Jim said. “We were very impressed.”
Expanding MBO America’s Global Reach
The successful installation at Bruño underscores MBO America’s commitment to supporting print operations across the Americas. As printers worldwide continue investing in automation and efficiency, MBO’s finishing solutions and experienced service team remain a trusted partner, no matter the location.
This project is another example of how MBO America brings precision, reliability, and hands-on expertise to customers around the globe.
