Instructional Designer

PRINTING United Alliance’s Member Services Department is looking for an Instructional Designer. 

 

Job Summary 

The Instructional Designer focuses on designing and developing dynamic, engaging, and visually appealing learning solutions. This role requires a unique blend of multimedia/eLearning production skills and instructional design expertise. Working collaboratively with the Vice President, eLearning and Certifications, and subject matter experts, you will produce visually appealing, interactive, and engaging eLearning activities and assessments.

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Work with subject matter experts to create engaging eLearning activities, exercises, and compelling course content that is instructionally sound and accurately conveys learning concepts using ADDIE and AGILE methodologies. 
  • Create a visualization of instructional graphics, user interactivity, and the finished product. 
  • Design and deliver learning products and media in various formats, including graphics, audio, video, simulations, games, and animation technologies. 
  • Incorporate interactive activities, such as sample scenarios, worksheets, and quizzes, that enhance learning and increase knowledge retention. 
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives. 
  • Analyze, update, and refine existing content. 
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned. 
  • Work samples demonstrating your experience and skill using course authoring tools are required as part of your submission. Submissions without work samples will not be considered. 

 

Qualifications 

  • A self-motivated individual who can adapt, learn quickly, take ownership of assigned tasks, and meet established deadlines. 
  • Passionate about the learner experience and how to make it better; open to feedback and improving both oneself and the team. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. 

 

Location 

This is a remote role. Regardless of location, must be available to work Eastern time. Equipment and tools needed to be able to work from home (laptop, software, etc.) will be provided.
