On November 3, the House passed a $14.3 billion Republican-led aid package to Israel. The bill passed 226-196, with 12 Democrats voting for it and two Republicans voting against. It faces little chance of becoming law, however, with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) saying he won't take it up and the White House threatening to veto it.
