The new Canon imagePRESS V900 Series / Canon imagePRESS Server N500/P400 powered by Fiery FS500 Pro have achieved certification by Idealliance, through its extensive independent, third-party verification, as a digital press (digital print engine & front end) capable of output requirements specified in ISO 12647-8, ISO 15311,and ISO 15339.

Digital color print production driven by Fiery-based DFEs delivers faster turnaround times, support of all industry-standard VDP formats, integrated preflight capabilities, automation for repetitive manual job setup and the Adobe PDF Print Engine for end-to-end native PDF workflows. 

Recognition by the graphic communications and print industry as a class-leading digital press with Idealliance certification means Canon imagePRESS V900 Series / Canon imagePRESS Server N500/P400 powered by Fiery FS500 Pro have been verified by the most credible global organizations in the printing industry. So any printed product will achieve the absolute highest quality match across color fidelity according to international standards in areas of color, print properties, and print production. The program considers the entire press system, including the digital front-end, print engine, and paper. Idealliance certifies that the following digital press systems meet or exceed established industry tolerances for excellence in the areas of Colorimetric Accuracy, Uniformity, Repeatability, Durability, and Registration and are therefore officially awarded Idealliance Digital Press Certification.

While the market for digital production printing is large and established, international standards for printing and process control using digital presses are still being developed. Jordan Gorski is an Idealliance certified G7 Expert, CMP Master, and BrandQ Expert and supports the global printing and packaging supply chain through his work with Idealliance as Executive Director. He has over 15 years of experience in the industry, starting in pre-media and data-driven marketing and technical service, along with experience as a technical advisor and product manager in the flexographic printing and packaging industry, where he offered his professional expertise to printers, publishers, packaging printers and converters.

Jordan has a degree in Graphic Communications from Clemson University and joined Idealliance in 2017. Since joining Idealliance, Jordan has worked across the association to support training & certification programs, global partners and international affiliates, and serves as the staff liaison for ISO’s Technical Committee 130, Committee for Graphic Arts Technical Standards (CGATS), U.S. Technical Advisory Group (USTAG), the International Color Consortium (ICC) and Idealliance’s Print Properties Committee (PPC), driving global standards and innovation across the supply chain with Idealliance as part of PRINTING United Alliance.
