RSA Launches Updated VDP Software, ImpactVDP

Rochester Software Associates (RSA), provider of production print workflow software solutions for in-plant print centers, commercial printers, and PSPs announces the latest version of their online variable data print (VDP) template design and ordering software, ImpactVDP. The new release automates transactional and data driven VDP production when used with RSA's QDirect software. New features and enhancements like bar code support and more VDP template administration and management capabilities increase efficiency and streamline VDP template creation and workflow. Customers benefit from:

• Automated VDP composition from a data feed and output with no human interaction using QDirect with ImpactVDP. Now print for pay, transactional, commercial, and in-plant print shops can use automated VDP production.
• Faster customer ordering and template creation with Designer and output enhancements such as hiding backgrounds for pre-printed stock, and support for barcodes.
• Cloud storage of individual designer and global templates (available to all designers).
• Easy administration to manage cloud storage, and the ability to monitor, kickoff, and rerun background server compositions.

Product Management Director Vince Tutino states, “When we launched ImpactVDP two years ago, our goal was to offer an online VDP solution that was easy-to-use for designers, customers ordering, and print production. With this release print centers can go beyond offering variable items in WebCRD to now include VDP as part of an end-to-end automated workflow. ImpactVDP is an exceptional value as an included WebCRD™ Web to Print module. Adding ImpactVDP Pro to QDirect offers even greater value and increases print center capabilities by enabling data driven VDP. Using QDirect's extensive print and output management capabilities, the entire VDP process can be automated.”
