Onset X2 with Full Automation Increases Output and Capabilities at Primary Color
Jul 2, 2018
Hanover Park, Illinois – Primary Color, a G7 Master Printer increases output and expands capabilities with their new Onset X2, a high productivity UV flatbed.
Established in 1984, Primary Color is an award-winning dynamic visual marketing company that produces world-class marketing products and solutions, and positioned as an industry leader through its dedication to print innovation, quality and service. By focusing on technology, Primary Color analyzes traditional workflows, recommends improvements and develops and implements modern, systems-driven, print solutions. Primary Color is the print service provider for a variety of clientele, including restaurants, automotive, retail, financial institutions, entertainment industry, and museums.
The recent addition of an Onset X2 with full automation has allowed Primary Color to expand capabilities and broaden their reach within point-of-purchase, display, and beyond.
“The color gamut on the Onset X2 is amazing,” said Dan Hirt, president, Primary Color. “It allows us to achieve a tremendous end-result with its litho-like ink finish. And we have the ability to print two-sided in perfect registration.”
Full automation on the Onset X2 allows for efficient handling of a variety of substrates.
“We went with full automation on our Onset X2 because it gives us better reliability from front to back registration,” says Hirt. “We are now more successful with our longer-run work consisting of materials that are not easy to manage by hand, especially heavier materials to the very flimsy materials that could get kinked. We are amazed at the various substrates it’s able to handle - we are more efficiently handling materials with automation on the front and back of the press.”
A recently completed job on the Onset X2 brings a smile to Hirt as he reflects on the output for a high-profile client.
“One of our clients requires very creative marketing needs for their popular reality show,” said Hirt. “Their out-of-home campaigns are extremely colorful, and on a variety of substrates. This client insists their jobs run on the Onset X2, because of its ability to consistently achieve the bright colors they desire.”
