Office of Management and Budget Completes Review of E-Manifest User Fee Proposal

The US EPA’s proposed rule to create a fee schedule for the hazardous waste e-manifest system has cleared OMB review.  This rule is being proposed to cover EPA’s costs associated with its e-manifest 2014 final rule.  While the rule’s language is unknown at this time, it is expected to be released in the near future.  The e-manifest rule authorizes the use of electronic manifests to track shipments of hazardous waste from point of generation to receipt and disposal as required by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.  It is anticipated that EPA will launch this new system in 2018.   Sign up to receive the most up-to-date regulatory and legislative information about specialty imaging.
