US EPA Releases Proposed Rule to Update Hazardous Waste Generator Regulations

In 2004, the EPA published the “Hazardous Waste Generator Program Evaluation” Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and held four public meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act’s (RCRA) hazardous waste generator program. In response to the more than 500 comments on the April 2004 notice, the EPA took several non-regulatory actions to improve the program and issued a technical correction.
