Conference rooms require a lighting system which is responsive to a variety of situations. At least two different types of lighting should be planned: an ambient system that provides general lighting for meetings and a supplementary system with “downlighting” for slide projection and similar low light level conditions. The ambient lighting should be primarily diffused lighting to avoid harsh shadows on the faces of meeting participants.
