All digital ink systems will work with backlit display boxes. It’s really a matter of longevity with some of the inks. The least longevity will be users that print with aqueous based inks. These have relatively short life spans compared to the other ink systems, in terms of fade resistance. They will probably last a good number of months depending on the type of lamps used and if the display box has any UV light absorbing material between the print and the lamps. Solvent, UV curable, latex and dye sublimation all have excellent durability for backlit displays.
