Technical Association of the Graphic Arts Student Ambassador Katlyn Coddington is an Graphic Arts Management student at Ball State University. She enjoys the family-like aspect of TAGA and finds herself immersed in hands-on creation.

What school do you attend and what are you currently studying?

I attend Ball State University and I am a Graphic Arts Management major with a minor in Business Administration.

What makes your major unique? What do you like most about your choice of major?

The unique thing about the Graphic Arts Management major here at Ball State is that we are in the process of growing the major; so, since our major is still fairly small, those who are currently in the major are very close with each other (like a family).

What I like most about my major is the amount of hands-on experience the major allows us to have during our time here at Ball State.

When you aren't studying, in class or working what are you doing?

In my free time I enjoy drawing, as it is something I find relaxing and I have loved doing ever since I was young. I also recently have found that I really enjoy traveling and see new places.

What city are you currently living in? What do you like most about it (favorite spots)?

I currently live in Muncie, Indiana. The place I love the most about Muncie is it's a short drive to one of the best restaurants, Cammack Station. Before the building became a restaurant, it used to be an old filling station, so now the restaurant has restored all of the memorabilia and placed it throughout. They serve fantastic homestyle BBQ food.

What would your future dream job entail?

My future dream job is to be the one to go out and help customers create or recreate a brand for themselves or their business. Doing this job, to me, means I get to take the industry I love and share it with someone else to create a brand for them that they absolutely love.

What do you envision yourself doing 5 years from now?

In 5 years from now I hope to be living down in a southern state, married with a family, and a job in the printing industry.

Do you have a favorite quote you live by, and if so what is it?

"If you can dream, it you can do it." -Walt Disney
