Member Spotlight: Four Pees

PRINTING United Alliance is grateful to serve its members who make such significant impacts on the printing industry. Through our Member Spotlights, we continue to recognize our members, and help our community get to know their peers better, both professionally and personally. The following is a transcribed interview from PRINTING United Expo 2023 with Alliance member Tom Peire, CEO at Four Pees.

Can you tell me a little bit about your company?

Four Pees has existed for about 15 years. We started off as a distributor of software, focused on automation. In recent years, we have shifted from being a distributor to being more of an integrator, helping printers actually implement the software and making sure that the part works.

What automation would you say is most in demand among your customers right now?

Our focus has been on prepress automation, so our focus has been from order intake to the printer or the press. That is what we focus on mostly, however what we see is that more people are looking at the broader workflow and really looking at anything from customer demand up to shipment. Looking at that complete workflow and connecting all the different systems together.

What stood out the most to you at PRINTING United Expo 2023? (press conferences you got to attend or technology on the trade show floor)

The interactions with our prospects and potential customers were very interesting. People are looking more for automation and connecting the different dots together— how they can deal with fluctuating orders coming in, how they can connect their Web2Print site to their production, and having those conversations with different customers was very interesting.

Why did you guys decide to join the Alliance and what have you taken advantage the most, or what are you looking forward to still utilizing?

In general, we’re a relatively small company, but we like to contribute to the industry and we’ve been an active member of different industry associations and organizations worldwide. We’re a part of FESPA and the Ghent Workgroup. So, from an educational point of view we'd like to contribute, then again we’re looking to get some exposure and to get the message out to all the customers out there on how important automation is to them these days.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I look forward to the coming shows. I hope that they’re as well attended as they were this year and I’m looking forward to attending next year.
